| I gave this lecture at the Modern Church conference on Tuesday 19th July 2022. Due to the intense heat at the time, it was necessary to move the conference on-line. The conference was entitled ‘Living in Faith, Hope, and Love’. The aim of the conference was to provide an alternative approach to ‘identity, sexuality, relationships and marriage’ to that provided by the Anglican project and book, ‘Living in Love and Faith’. The aims of this lecture were to offer i) a theological account of sexuality as a continuum instead of a binary, and ii) a critique of the sexual binary in secular culture.
