| I read this paper to a research seminar in the Theology Department at the University of Exeter in November 2006. It explores the analogy between parents and children, and the Heavenly Father and all God's children. It raises fascinating questions about who and what God is, how He/She/It/They is/are imaged, and as you might expect, self-giving love and mutuality are the key themes. It is based on a chapter in Theology and Families. |
